Even though the new-look May Madness Play-Offs are the talk of the league, the BBL Championship season isn’t over and the title is yet to be settled.

As teams continue to put strong showings on the court, this week’s BBL All-Star 5 was tough competition but saw another Eagle flying into the starting line-up.

Justin Gordon has certainly found his form again, returning from injury, making his fifth appearance over the season following our Friday night win against league-leading Leicester Riders on Sky Sports.

Gordon led all scorers with 24 points, including some highlight dunks, while snatching eight rebounds and handing out five assists. He scored 13 of Eagles’ 27 fourth quarter points in a typically tense finish between these teams.

Rahmon Fletcher also made team of the week with a seat on the bench in the league’s pick of the players.

Meanwhile in a week of huge performances in the Women’s British Basketball League, our point guard Alison Gorrell picked up a bench place in team of the week following our win against Durham Palatinates.
