The final All-Star Five of the decade saw two Eagles flying high with powerful performances over the holiday period, including one of our flock making his second appearances in a row.

CJ Gettys turned in two performances this week that would have got him in the top five for ‘Performance Points’ this season.

Our latest edition fought hard for us in our defeat at the hands of the Sheffield Sharks, scoring 22 points on 10-13 (76%) shooting, adding 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Then in Sunday’s win over our old rivals the Glasgow Rocks, Gettys followed up with 20 points on 10-14 (71%) shooting with a huge 20 rebounds.

In the same road game and making his fourth appearance in the revered weekly roster, our point guard and two-time league MVP Rahmon Fletcher shot a perfect 9-9 on the inside and 11-13 (84%) overall in scoring a game-high 26 points, while handing out eight assists. Four of those assists were for Gettys in what is arguably the best double-act in the league.
