Newcastle Eagles can officially confirm that due to an unfortunate injury, Dwayne Cohill will not be joining the team for the upcoming 2026/27 Super League Basketball (SLB) season.

Cohill was due to arrive in Newcastle over the August Bank Holiday weekend to the Eagles’ new look roster.

The club thanks Dwayne for his professionalism throughout the recruitment process and wishes him all the best in his rehabilitation and recovery.

Head coach Marc Steutel is expected to announce a replacement guard later this week as he prepares for his side’s first pre-season tip-off this coming Sunday.
