The stage is set for the opening weekend of the 2023 WBBL Trophy as our Eagles join 15 other elite women’s clubs from across the UK in an exciting two days for British basketball.

Essex Rebels will host the centralised Trophy First Round where 16 teams hope to make it one step closer to being crowned the WBBL Trophy winners.

For the first time in the women’s competition’s history there are four WNBL Division 1 teams invited to competing alongside the 12 WBBL teams, including Brent Bulls, Ipswich Basketball, COLA Southwark Pride and Thames Valley Cavaliers.

The draw took place last month to set the match-ups and the weekend’s tip-offs schedule is now set.

Our Eagles will face the Nottingham Wildcats at 4pm on Sunday 8 January 2023.
