Newcastle Eagles guard Trey Moore is the Molten Player Of The Month For October after having enjoyed a stellar few weeks despite arriving on Tyneside late due to a paperwork wrangle which left him stranded Stateside as his team-mates tipped off the new season back in September.

It certainly didn’t take long for the former BBL Player Of The Year to get into his stride once he did pull on an Eagles vest again and he has enjoyed a superb month averaging 21 points per game including an impressive percentage of 44% from the perimeter.

Moore also showcased his all-round skills and influence on the Eagles team to great effect by averaging 5.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

Ironically, the only real area where Moore did not shine excessively was in one of his traditional strong points, namely free-throw shooting where he sunk 75% from the stripe during the month.

The combo guard has also made the BBL Team Of The Week for weeks six and seven while amassing particularly impressive scores against former club Cheshire Jets when he poured in 29 points and in the Eagles’ thrilling overtime win at One Health Sharks Sheffield last weekend when he claimed 28 points.
