Outstanding performances in the BBL over the weekend from two of our Eagles sees them fly into the league’s latest All-Star Five.

Former league MVP Rahmon Fletcher made a statement live on Sky Sports on Friday night, directly involved in over two-thirds of our Eagles’ points with a dominant double-double of 25 points and 17 assists, the latter a personal high in an already illustrious career.

Eagles beat the previously 10-1 London Lions at Vertu Motors Arena, using a late 15-2 surge in which Fletcher scored four points and dished five assists, to surprisingly make his first All-Star 5 appearance of the season so far.

Duke Shelton stood out in our extraordinary triple overtime road game at Cheshire Phoenix on Sunday as the American big man posted a double-double to make his second All-Star 5 appearance of the campaign.

Shelton finished with 22 points on 10-14 (71%) inside shooting and dragged in 16 rebounds, including three big defensive boards as Eagles allowed their hosts just one score in the last four minutes to force overtime. “The Duke” hit two crucial baskets in the final minute of the third extra period to take Eagles from behind into a winning position.

Well done Rahmon and Duke.
