Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles are on cloud nine after agreeing the latest in a series of high-profile partnerships this season.
Newcastle International Airport has already played a key role in the club’s ambitious move into European competition, and the Eagles’ bosses are delighted to confirm the award-winning gateway to hundreds of global destinations is now the club’s Official Airport Partner.
“This is another fantastic collaboration that underlines where we’re going as a club,” said Paul Blake, Managing Director, Newcastle Eagles.
“Partnering with Newcastle Airport has — quite literally — helped our Eagles men fly into a new era of European competition.
“The team has taken to the skies in three ENBL away games already this season and the assistance and support from the Airport has been a huge help.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Newcastle and it’s great to see them come on board as our Official Airport Partner.
“We look forward to welcoming the Airport’s staff and their families to our men’s and women’s games through the remainder of the 2023/24 season.”
Marc Steutel’s men are gearing up for a fourth away day in the ENBL with the club’s January 31 fixture at Keila KK looming large.
The return trip to Estonia follows hot on the heels of this month’s homecourt clash against Royal Liege Basket — with Newcastle Airport doubling up as match sponsors for the Eagles’ first ENBL fixture of 2024.

With the Eagles’ Vertu Motors Arena confirmed as the host venue for Great Britain’s EuroBasket clash against the Netherlands next month, another influx of international basketball fans is on the cards.
Steutel’s senior GB men’s roster will be flying out of Newcastle International Airport following the Dutch fixture ahead of their group game in the Czech Republic on February 26.
“Travel is one of the greatest challenges facing elite international athletes and knowing that the Newcastle Airport team are there to make things as easy as possible is hugely reassuring,” added Blake.
