Newcastle Eagles men will tip-off their 2025/26 Super League Basketball (SLB) season on Sunday 21 September, over the boarder at Caledonia Gladiators in the Championship.
The structure and key dates for the new SLB campaign promises another action-packed year of British basketball across four major competitions.
SLB Championship fixtures start the calendar this season tipping-off on Friday 19 September and run through to Sunday 17 May’s spectacular finale at The O2, London, with the Play-off Finals.
Competing in the Men’s SLB for the 2025/26 season will be the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks, Bristol Flyers, Caledonia Gladiators, Cheshire Phoenix, Leicester Riders, London Lions, Manchester Basketball, Newcastle Eagles and Surrey 89ers.
STARTING FIVE FIXTURES:
All nine teams will compete in the Championship, Cup and Trophy competitions and fight for a place in the season-ending Play-Offs.
The Trophy Final is locked in for a return to Utilita Arena Birmingham on Sunday 1 February 2026 when the Eagles as defending champions will look to repeat their 2025 success and retain the title.
Super League Basketball’s 2026 Cup Final follows on Sunday 22 March, making British basketball history as the first Final in league history to be hosted at Manchester’s AO Arena.
Full formats for the Trophy and Cup competitions will be confirmed in due course along with the Eagles’ two outstanding home Championship fixtures against London Lions and Surrey 89ers.
The top eight teams from the Championship season will qualify for the season-ending Play-offs, which get underway in May, with two-legged quarter- and semi-finals decided by aggregate scores and the last two teams standing booking their spots at The O2, London, to close out the season in style.

Tickets for the first three home games are on sale now from the box office from 7:30pm tonight, Thursday 21 August.
Any Eagles home games in the SLB Championship, Cup and Trophy, plus any potential home Play-Offs Quarter-Finals are included for season ticket holders.

European North Basketball League (ENBL) tip-offs have already been announced with one opposition still to be confirmed. Once that final game is confirmed tickets for the ENBL fixtures will go on sale, including a discount for our season card holders and for anyone purchasing all four group stage home games.
