Newcastle Eagles men will tip-off the inaugural Super League Basketball (SLB) season at home in the Trophy Group Stages to Sheffield Sharks on Friday 27 September.

The 2024/25 SLB season will pay homage to the storied history of top-flight British basketball, with Championship, Cup, Play-Offs and Trophy competitions confirmed and the latter tipping off over the first five weeks.

In an exciting opening to the new campaign for head coach Marc Steutel’s side who will get straight on the road to Manchester on Sunday 29 September followed by home game number two the following Friday when Caledonia Gladiators make their shortest road-trip across the border.


OUR STARTING FIVE FIXTURES:

Already confirmed European North Basketball League (ENBL) games for our Eagles intersect weeks three and four of the SLB Trophy and the schedule ramps up early with an away fixtures in Slovakia at Spisski Rytieri on Wednesday 16 October before their first Tuesday night home game against Bulgarian side Spartak Pleven on 22 October.

Once the group stages of the Trophy are wrapped-up, Championship action begins on the road at Caledonia on Sunday 3 November with the first league home game for our new-look men’s team set for Friday 15 November when the newly renamed Surrey franchise make their first visit to Tyneside as the 89ers.

Tickets for the first three home games are on sale now from the box office with prices frozen from last season as a thanks to all our fans for their continued support.
