The Eagles have finally agreed terms to bring back the explosive Seton Hall point guard Paul Gause to the North East, following a season away from the club in Slovakia and Morocco.

Gause was part of the 2011-12 quadruple winning Eagles, averaging 15 points per game for the Tyneside franchise. During his time at the club, the powerful guard quickly earned a reputation as one of the quickest players in the league with a passion for steals.

The club and agents have been talking through the summer in order to pave the way for a return, which happily came to fruition late last week.

Gause is excited to make his return; ‘I’ve played in a few European countries now and my best time was certainly in Newcastle, it feels like a home from home. I’m really looking forward to coming back and meeting old friends again. The team is shaping up well and I can’t wait to get Sport Central on their feet!’

Coach Fab Flournoy was pleased to add another key player to the Eagles 2013-14 roster; ‘We all know the kind of energy that Paul can bring to a team and he really adds well to the mix of talent we now have in place. It will be great to see Paul back in black and white’.
