The fixture list may have been decimated by the weather at the weekend but in spite of a reduced number of winning performances to choose from, the efficiency ratings of our fabulous five are still as good as any other week while a certain guard becomes the first player to make a fifth appearance of the season!

Jeremy Bell (Cheshire Jets)
If there has been one consistent factor for Cheshire this season it has been the offensive production of playmaker Bell who yet again tops the chart for scoring after producing the best performance of the weekend bar none. He paced the Jets to a fine away win at Prestige Homes MK Lions with 33 points in a spectacular shooting performance which helped him to a valuation of 31. The guard was a flawless 7 of 7 inside and rained in five triples as well as dishing up 5 assists to put the Lions to the sword and help get his team back to winning ways. This is the third appearance for Bell in six weeks.

Trey Moore (Newcastle Eagles)
The combo guard is someone you can’t keep down for long and he becomes the first player this season in the BBL to make Team Of The Week for a fifth time – having not made the team since week 10. Moore was instrumental in last Friday’s demolition of Worthing Thunder with a typically all-action display which harvested him 24 points, 7 assists and 2 steals.

Joe Chapman (Newcastle Eagles)
It’s been a while since Chapman clicked into top gear but perhaps now he is getting used to those new rims at Sports Central after he bombarded Thunder with a stunning 7 three-pointers on his way to 26 points. The guard also showcased his excellent IQ on the court with 8 assists to sign off 2010 in the same way he started it – with an impressive performance.

Charles Smith (Newcastle Eagles)
The veteran star had a huge impact on the win against Worthing and showed plenty of his class by claiming a super double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes of action. Smith also added 3 assists and a block in what was statistically, the second best performance of the weekend after Bell.

Mike Martin (Guildford Heat)
In a miserable week for Heat fans when uncertainty surrounding the long term future of the club surfaced, big favourite Mike Martin provided a much needed boost with a stellar performance as Guildford claimed a hugely impressive road win at One Health Sharks Sheffield. Martin scored 30 vital points in the thrilling 99-96 success as he converted a brilliantly efficient 12 of 14 inside while also drilling home a couple of big triples.
