Once again Trey Moore is in the BBL Team of the Week, where he is almost becoming a permanent fixture. This week he is the Eagles’ only representative.

Trey Moore (Newcastle Eagles)
It is becoming increasingly difficult not to run out of superlatives to describe the efforts of Trey Moore who makes the line-up for a breathtaking fourth time in five weeks! Not only that, his performance valuation of 36 once again makes him the joint best performer this week. Moore was instrumental in helping a fired-up Eagles team fight back from 15 points down against arch rivals Mersey Tigers to claim a 7 point victory in the first leg of the BBL Cup. Moore was his usual all-action self with 34 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals against his former employers.

Ryan Zamroz (Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders)
Life as a shooter hasn’t been too great for Ryan Zamroz of late and having been 1 of 10 on Saturday against Prestige Homes MK Lions, he did what every good shooter does – he continued to take the rough with the smooth and shoot the ball to get his rewards against Essex Pirates on Sunday. He found his range again and was excellent from downtown as he converted a stunning 7 of 9 from three-point range to kill off the hopes of the hosts and help complete a perfect weekend for the Riders.

Andrew Sullivan (Mersey Tigers)
The Great Britain star had the most productive weekend of any BBL player since the season began with two outstanding performances although unfortunately for him, he only got one victory having been on the wrong end of a 22 point turnaround against Newcastle Eagles on his first trip back to Tyneside. While that performance didn’t count in terms of the Team Of The Week criteria, it is absolutely worth mentioning his huge efficiency valuation of 38 after claiming a sparkling 35 points and 12 rebounds double-double in that game. His inclusion in our starting five comes courtesy of another powerful display 24 hours later at Worcester Wolves when he poured in 27 points to help the Tigers claim a hard fought BBL Championship success.

Phil Missere (Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders)
It is perhaps no coincidence that the revival in Riders fortunes has coincided with the return to the club of big fans favourite Phil Missere. The versatile forward really did showcase his full array of skills at Essex Pirates as his team claimed a second league win of the season inside 24 hours! Missere was only two assists away from an incredible triple-double after scoring 27 points, pulling down 13 rebounds and dishing up 8 assists. His performance was the joint best of the week along with Trey Moore.

Andrew Thomson (Mersey Tigers)
No longer one of the best kept secrets in the BBL but now deservedly beginning to establish himself as a bona-fide big man who can mix it up with the best in the league, Thomson makes another appearance in the Team Of The Week. His double-double against Worcester Wolves of 22 points and 12 rebounds was typically efficient and his influence on the Tigers was evidenced in another way over the weekend when he fouled out early during the BBL Cup defeat at Newcastle and was a big loss for his team.
