The leading light in the BBL Team Of The Week throughout this season reaches a rather impressive landmark by chalking up an incredible tenth appearance of the campaign. Meanwhile spare a thought for Travis Nelson who is resigned to a place on the bench after the Lions lost in overtime but that shouldn’t detract from an astonishing performance valuation of 45 after landing 31 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.

Jeremy Bell (Cheshire Jets)

This is the sixth appearance of the season for the playmaker who looks to be getting back to his influential best heading down the all-important season stretch. He top scored for his team with 30 points in the blowout of Guildford Heat at Northgate last Sunday. In a typically all-action and energetic display, the guard also harvested 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the win which keeps his team in the thick of the title race.

Trey Moore (Newcastle Eagles)

Nobody has dominated our weekly line-up quite like the former league MVP who may be one of the oldest players still treading the boards in British Basketball but still one of the most productive. Moore booked his tenth appearance to further improve his fantastic ratio of making our starting five after producing the best performance of the weekend. He finished with a tally of 29 points against Worcester Wolves including four triples. He also just missed out on a double-double with 9 rebounds while also dishing up 5 assists to finish with a performance valuation of 36.

James Jones (Mersey Tigers)

Jones continues to impress this season as he matures into one of the most potent shooters in the league. His first slot means he becomes the fifth player from Tigers to make the starting five this season after helping his team complete a comfortable win against basement club Essex Pirates. Jones finished with 29 points after burying five of his trademark three-pointers as well as converting a highly efficient four of five inside the arc.

Andrew Thomson (Mersey Tigers)

Thomson has had some real purple patches this season and he joins team-mates Jones in our line-up after continuing another period of impressive form with what is his second appearance in the space of just three week. He returns off the back of another powerful display against Essex Pirates. He claimed 25 points and 7 rebounds after dominating in the paint and converting 8 of his 10 attempts.

Paul Williams (One Health Sharks Sheffield)

You have to go back to Week 13 to find the last time Paul Williams was in our starting five but of course One Heath Sharks Sheffield don’t rely on one or two stars to get the job done but a real strength in depth. This week it was the turn of the big man to shine after finishing with a super double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds as well as three blocked shots in last Friday’s success against Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders.
