|There’s a debutante in our line-up and a player with the best display of the 2016-17 season so far and one of the best in All-Star Five history.
Quincy Taylor (Surrey Scorchers)
It was a brilliant night for Scorchers in front of the BBC Sport cameras last Friday as a full-house enjoyed a thumping win. Taylor was at the centre of the best work from the hosts as he took down Raiders with 25 points on a super shooting night as he made a fine 10 of 13 from the field. He also added five assists and three rebounds.
Conner Washington (Leicester Riders)
It’s the first appearance of the season as a starter for the British guard after he impressed in the second game of Riders’ weekend win double against Manchester. Washington showed his full range of backcourt talents in the road win by racking up 14 points and coming up just one assists shy of a terrific double-double effort.
Jermel Kennedy (Worcester Wolves)
The fans at the University of Worcester Arena were treated to an exciting shootout against the Lions and it was Kennedy who propelled Wolves to victory. The forward could barely miss as he harvested a 19-point haul from an excellent six-of-seven from the floor. A great night of work was wrapped up with eight rebounds and an eye-catching seven assists.
Scott Martin (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle)
It was a truly breathtaking individual performance from the forward as he joined a very exclusive half century club as he produced a staggering performance efficiency valuation of 51 against Leeds. It was the best display of the season by some distance, with 37 the next best. Martin had a career-high 41 points after sinking a phenomenal 9-of-11 from long-range. He also amassed a double-double with 11 rebounds and handed out five assists.
Taylor King (Leicester Riders)
One of the form players in the league right now, King has shifted up the gears recently and continued his good work with a dominant display at home to Manchester Giants. He registered an all-action display which returned an outstanding double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds, while only falling three assists short of a triple-double.
Off the bench – Cory Dixon (Plymouth Raiders), Earl Brown (Cheshire Phoenix), Anthony Elechi (Glasgow Rocks), Jordan Davis (DBL Sharks Sheffield), Aaron Cosby (Bristol Flyers), Kai Williams (London Lions), Daryl Corletto (Plymouth Raiders).
