The 2024 WilliamsAli 3×3 Basketball Challenge is just around the corner and the Newcastle business community is shooting for the stars with its Eagles Community Foundation fundraising target at the second annual event next Friday, 7th June.
Even more companies jumped at the chance and signed-up to take to the court this year, with a total of 32 teams competing in the event, organised by WilliamsAli Corporate Finance.
“WilliamsAli has been a longstanding supporter of the Foundation, so we jumped at the chance to work with them again to put on this year’s basketball tournament”, said Phil Williams, Co-Founder and Managing Director of WilliamsAli.
“The response to last year’s event was quite overwhelming and we are delighted that so many professional services businesses in the region have chosen to join us this year to raise much needed funds for the vital work the Foundation delivers”.
Last year 25 teams took part in the hugely successful inaugural event, which has become a permanent annual fixture for Newcastle’s professional services community.
WilliamsAli’s 2023 tournament raised over £8,500 to help the Foundation continue its work across the region and the even bigger event this year already looks set to surpass that figure.
“We are so grateful for the continued support of WilliamsAli and the professional services sector for getting involved in this event for the second year running”, said Sam Blake, Chief Executive Officer of the Eagles Community Foundation.
“Last year’s 3×3 basketball challenge raised a fantastic amount, which has made such a difference to our young people by helping us continue to deliver and grow our programmes”,
“We cannot thank WilliamsAli enough and we are looking forward to the tip-offs next Friday.”
There will be lots of fundraising on the day to add to the total. Spectators are welcome for a donation on the door and the action starts at 1:30pm.
