The 2010 – 2011 season is now on the horizon as the fixtures have been announced by the BBL. The full fixture list is available on their website – – and will appear here in due course.

The season structure has been altered slightly with the BBL Trophy fixtures taking precedent in the early part of the season before league action for real starts towards the end of September. The end of season play – offs have the same structure as last season, again removing the end of season weekend and replacing it with a Finals Day, to be held at the NIA in Birmingham..

I am sure that Fab and his team will be aiming to go one better than last season and take all 4 available trophies, making the 2010 – 2011 season our best ever. So those of you still in a quandry about renewing your season ticket, now is the time to put indecision aside and to sign – on to what will be, hopefully, the most successful yet in the history of Newcastle Eagles.

The Eagles kick – off their season with a trip to Glasgow to take on Spensor Davis, Scottish Rocks on Sunday September 19th tip 5pm. This is a Trophy game.

The first home fixture, also a Trophy game;

The Eagles start the League season with the League Champions at the Play – off Winners, the Mersey Tigers (formerly Everton Tigers) on Sunday 26th September tip 6pm
