Esh Group Eagles Newcastle 96 (29,47,76) (Fletcher 19, Parks 17, Martin 17)

A scintillating performance by Plymouth Raiders had the home faithful at the Pavilions on their feet as they ended a 12-game losing streak against league leaders Esh Group Eagles Newcastle in a record-breaking 112-96 win.

While Raiders allowed their opponents to amass 29 points in the opening period, the tide quickly turned as the home fans revelled in seeing their favourites hit top gear offensively.

The Eagles couldn’t live with it as Raiders surged into a double-digit lead at half-time and then managed to keep their opponents at bay when the play resumed. That was due to a great all-round team effort, but also some special performances  – not least from Donte Nicholas, who shot an eye-popping 83% for his 30 points.

Cory Dixon was also on fire with 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, as Raiders kept their foot on the gas to record their biggest ever win against the Eagles and also rack up their highest ever tally against the North-East side.
