Our 2022-23 WBBL roster has been set for the new season start tonight as new and returning faces are added to the team that will take to the court.

Guards Millie Oates and Mollie Arnold will suit-up in black and white again this season.

This year makes it a fourth as an Eagle for Arnold and a third for Oates who returns to Newcastle after a year away.

WBBL veteran Ruth Thornley, who got back on the court last January as head coach Noelia Cacheiro’s re-built the team, will add her experience to the new side.

Two new names will bring exciting talent to the table for coach Cacheiro to work with in the form of Alex Campbell and Alice Mackenzie.

WBBL fans will know Mackenzie’s name as she joins the club from Oaklands Wolves

Campbell comes to Newcastle from City of Leeds Under-18s and will also be playing BUCS under her WBBL teammate and Northumbria University’s head coach Chloe Gaynor.

The Eagles WBBL team tip-off tonight over the border against the recently rebranded Caledonia Gladiators at 7pm.
