All Star Five – Week 19

The leaderboard is beginning to heat up as two players this week record their fifth and sixth appearances of the season.
Neil Watson (Leicester Riders)
The playmaker caught fire from long-range for his team in the match-up with Plymouth University Raiders, knocking down a fantastic five from six to help garner a sparkling 27 points. In an all-action display, Watson also harvested seven rebounds, four assists and a steal as he makes a return to our starting five for a second time this season.
Jerrold Brooks (Sheffield Sharks)
The Sharks’ guard hangs on to his starting place from last week as he chalks up a stunning sixth berth of the campaign to underline his status as one of the leading BBL backcourt stars. Brooks was unstoppable from the perimeter in a derby success against Leeds Force as he sunk a superb six triples from eight attempts, en-route to 22 points. He also offered three steals and two assists.
TrayVonn Wright (Leicester Riders)
The high-flying forward continues to feed the BBL highlights reel with some dazzling displays and against Plymouth University Raiders, Wright brought the noise with some nice numbers too. He finished with a 20-point haul from 62% shooting and completed a fine double-double with 10 rebounds, while also swatting three shots to secure a fifth starting place of the season.
Marcus Ware (Glasgow Rocks)
It’s a second starting place in three weeks for the Rocks’ forward. He helped take his team to a win against Bristol Flyers with the best performance of the entire weekend. Ware corralled 24 points from an excellent 11 of 16 floor shooting and completed a double-double with 10 boards, as well as handing out four assists and grabbing three steals.
Perris Blackwell (Worcester Wolves)
It was a momentous night for Wolves when they continued their hold over the Eagles in recent times by ending the second longest winning streak in BBL history. Blackwell was central to a pulsating victory after putting the north-east club to the sword with a 67% shooting effort under the basket which returned 20 points. He also racked up seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
