Financial high fliers Ryecroft Glenton have swooped to cement their special relationship with Newcastle Eagles for another season.

The North East advisory heavyweights did the math and agreed to a continuation of their 2023/24 sponsorship deal.

And that means men’s head coach Marc Steutel gets to roll back the years every week in the company of friend and former team-mate Dan Cooper.

Dan and Marc suited up together back in the day but both have so far resisted calls to rekindle their on-court relationship.

And for now the pair will be focusing their energy on providing sustained support from the sidelines.

“We are delighted to be entering our second year as corporate sponsors of the Newcastle Eagles,” said Dan, Partner and Head of Outsourced | FD at Ryecroft Glenton.

“Following a successful season for both the club and us as a business it seemed like the perfect move.

“Our guests came away ‘loving the game’ last season and I know the majority will, if they haven’t already, return for more of the on-court action.

“The club and the Eagles Community Foundation not only has similar values to us as a business but the work they do for the region continues to impress us.

“We love being alongside them as supporters.

“Here’s to an exciting season. It’s a new team but it’s also a new season and so it’s all to play for in the Super League and in Europe.”

Newcastle have forged a reputation for delivering the ultimate corporate experience week in, week out at the rocking Vertu Motors Arena.

The Eagles’ unique Friday night hospitality offer includes an exclusive pre-match lowdown with playcaller Steutel, some of the best seats in the house and delicious food before tip-off and during half-time.

Guests get to mingle with players in the corporate lounge post-match and gain exclusive access to a well stocked bar.

“We truly appreciate the support Ryecroft Glenton and it’s great to have Dan, his clients, professional friends and colleagues back for another exciting season,” said Paul Blake, Newcastle Eagles’ Managing Director.

“With a new league and a return to Europe there’s never been a better time to get on board with the club across our men’s and women’s teams and within the community.”

Newcastle Eagles tip-off their 2024/25 season tonight when Sheffield Sharks visit the Vertu Motors Arena and tickets are still available on the box office.
