There are two debutantes in our line-up and they are two of four British players in our starting five this week.

Callum Jones (Manchester Giants)
It’s a fourth appearance of the campaign for the guard who starred in his team’s win against Plymouth University Raiders – a victory which has reinvigorated Giants’ Play-Off hopes. Jones produced the best performance of the weekend after he came within just on assist of recording an outstanding and rare triple-double. He scored 13 points, corralled 11 rebounds and handed out nine assists in a majestic effort and if that wasn’t enough, he also garnered four steals.

Marek Klassen (Leeds Force)
The only non-Brit this week, the guard finds himself a starting berth forhe second time in the wake of his mid-season arrival in Yorkshire. He has played a pivotal role in the renaissance of Force and was instrumental in his team taking down Manchester Giants. Indeed he was also close to a triple double too, only missing out via a couple of rebounds after posting a dazzling 17 points and 13 assists. His terrific line was rounded off with those eight rebounds and two steals.

Drew Sullivan (Leicester Riders)
It was a super weekend for the Londoner as he was crowned MVP at the BBL Trophy Final after using all of his talent and wealth of experience to ensure Riders took the coveted silverware for the first time in their history. The Great Britain star led the way against his former team and helped to deny the Eagles a successful defence of the Trophy by registering a 22-point haul from 53% floor shooting. Sullivan also harvested seven rebounds to grab one of our starting places for a fourth time this season.

David Aliu (Cheshire Phoenix)
Yet again showing his shooting range and inside-outside game, the veteran forward brought the noise for Phoenix in their match-up against Surrey Scorchers in a performance which delivered a debut 2015-16 appearance in our line-up. Aliu finished the contest with 20 points, which were accumulated largely due to a fantastic five triples, while he also did the dirty work on the glass by claiming eight rebounds, as well as dishing up an eye-catching five assists.

Rob Marsden (Leeds Force)
Our second debutante finds himself with his first starting five place of the campaign having torched his ex-employers Manchester Giants with a superb shooting performance. Marsden really did light it up and poured in 22 points after making a brilliant 11 of 16 from the floor and that wonderful 69% was a cornerstone of his team’s success. In a sterling night of work, he also came up with seven rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots.
