Last night ahead of our big BBL Championship win against Manchester Giants we arranged a collection for the Newcastle West End Foodbank on the arena’s front plaza.
Even over an hour before tip-off as you can see from the photo we were on our way to filling the van supplied to us by proud Eagles sponsor Vertu Honda.
We just want to say a huge thank you to all of our fans for their amazing generosity, especially at this time of year.
The vehicles will be back for more collections at our next game on Friday 27 December when the Sheffield Sharks visit so if you weren’t able to bring anything along this week any more donations then will be brilliant.
The foodbank have requested non-perishable food items, for example:
- Breakfast cereal
- Long life milk
- Juice
- Baked beans
- Christmas puddings
- Cooking sauces
- Tinned meat
- Tinned vegetables
- Rice and pasta
- Pasta sauce
- Tea/coffee
- Biscuits
