Newcastle Eagles coach Fab Flournoy has claimed he doesn’t see the BBL Cup game against Worcester Wolves at Sport Central tonight as a revenge mission for his team after they were beaten by the Wolves in the BBL Championship last month.

Having already booked their place in the semi-finals of the BBL Trophy, Flournoy and his team want that same outcome tonight with a slot in the BBL Cup semi-finals but that will require full concentration against a Jekyll and Hyde Wolves side.

“That was a league game and this is a BBL Cup game so it is not a question of revenge,” explained Flournoy.

“I do hope though that the loss and the areas that we have to improve upon, will be fresh in the minds of our players from that game.”

The Eagles are looking to continue their unbeaten record at their new venue and have been boosted by some much improved recent form after their early season wobble while Wolves continue to go from one extreme to another as they struggle to find some much needed consistency.
