As we start the new year we’d like to congratulate our BBL and WBBL teams’ main partner GiveToLocal who have reached another milestone of supporting 21 sports.

GiveToLocal’s mission is to back sport, boost business and build networks has been gathering pace since we announced the new partnership in August last year.

In 2021 the service will now be supporting six new sports, adding squash, table tennis, badminton, rowing, judo and dodgeball as exciting new additions to their extensive roster.

GiveToLocal CEO Neil Gardiner joined Eagles MD Paul Blake and BBL and WBBL players for the partnership announcement in August 2020.

Clubs in all six sports can now register interest in GiveToLocal’s service as they press ahead with plans to pump an additional £10m annually into community sport.

GiveToLocal’s ‘21 for 2021’ push shows how just like the Eagles, the service refuses to stand still despite COVID-19’s damaging impact.

“The support we have had from GiveToLocal at such a difficult time has been incredible”, said Newcastle Eagles Sales and Communications Manager Dan Black.

“It is great to see their growth and everything they are doing for sport not just here in the North East, but across the whole country

“We’d like to congratulate the whole GiveToLocal team on hitting yet another milestone and thank them for their continued support of the club.”
