BiG Storage Cheshire Jets 83 (20,40,59) (Marks 23, Myers 17, Perre 14)
Newcastle Eagles 108 (30,62,81) (Moore 30, Jackson 19, Bridge 16)

Newcastle Eagles kept the pressure on leaders Scottish Rocks with a comfortable 83-108 victory at BiG Storage Cheshire Jets.

Trey Moore came back to haunt his former club with a game-high 30 points as Eagles broke the match open during an excellent first half. A 12-0 run midway through the second quarter handed them a 31-51 lead and they maintained their 20 point advantage to the end.

Eagles always had an extra gear throughout the match as they finished the first quarter on a 12-2 burst to lead 20-30. They extended that out to beyond 20 points before half time as they headed into the locker rooms at half time 40-62 on top.

Jets worked hard after the interval to make headway into the Eagles advantage, but could only tie the third quarter 19-19. Newcastle didn’t allow Jets to get any closer as they eased further away during the final ten minutes.

Moore’s 30 was supported by 19 from Reggie Jackson and 16 from Andrew Bridge, while Chez Marks with 23 led the Jets reply.
