PAWS London Capital 93 (22,44,66) (Knight 23, Gariba 21, Sturgeon 20)
Newcastle Eagles 109 (27,53,82) (Moore 25, Jackson 20, Toney 20)

Newcastle Eagles are the new leaders of the BBL as they eased past bottom placed PAWS London Capital 93-109 on the road.

With their closest challengers – Everton Tigers and Scottish Rocks – both losing their last match the Eagles were careful not to slip up on the long trip south.

And after a strong start to the match the Eagles never looked in danger. Good play by Trey Moore, who finished the night with a game-high 25 points, gave Newcastle a 22-27 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The advantage was extended to 44-53 at half time and a 6-1 beginning to the third quarter gave Eagles enough breathing room to cruise through the rest of the match.
