It is with great sadness that we report this week the untimely passing away of Eagles Supporters Club Chair David Hunter. David, who recently moved into semi-retirement following a teaching career at Hookergate Comprehensive in Gateshead, took over as Chair of the Eagles Supporters Club in 2005.

Alongside his family, Dave put hundreds of volunteer hours into supporting the club, whether it be selling raffle tickets at home games, organising and promoting supporters away travel or helping to get a night’s events underway with Eagles staff.

Dave’s tenure of the Supporters Club coincides with the club’s most succesful years and as such the family were everpresents at all Eagles finals events.

The club management and playing staff would like to give all of our support and love to the Hunter family at this time. If you would like to pass on your best wishes to the family via the club please do not hesitate to contact the office.
