Esh Group Eagles Newcastle improved to 7-1 in the BBL Championship after recording a convincing 67-87 victory over Worcester Wolves.
Five players reached double figures for the Eagles as they pulled clear in the second half to inflict a fifth defeat on Worcester.
Rahmon Fletcher top scored with 20 points and handed out six assists, while Deondre Parks marked his return from injury with 13 points in the win.
The home side led 10-9 after nearly five minutes of play before the Eagles responded with 12 unanswered to take control. Newcastle moved further clear in the second and a 9-0 run put them up by 16 at 19-35.
However, Worcester rallied in the final three minutes of the half with an 11-0 run to cut the gap to just five going into the interval.
Wolves were still in contention, down six at the midpoint in the third, but five points from Fletcher sparked a 13-0 run from the Eagles as they made their charge.
Joe Hart netted from three at the end of the period to extend the lead beyond 20 points and the damage was done with no way back for Paul James’ side.
