Dr Duncan French was the guest presenter at the Newcastle Eagles Camp today. On day three of the camp Dr French worked with the players on strength and conditioning.

With over 13 years’ experience in elite professional sport, Dr. Duncan French is recognised as a leading practitioner in the field of strength and conditioning. Duncan is the Technical Lead for Strength & Conditioning at the English Institute of Sport in the North West Region.

Since 2004, he has acted as the National Lead for Strength & Conditioning to both Great Britain Taekwondo and Great Britain Basketball’s Olympic programmes, and he has coached Olympic, World Championship, and Commonwealth Games medalists from a variety of sporting disciplines. He was strength and conditioning coach to the men and women’s England senior basketball teams who both won bronze medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Most recently from 2009-12 Duncan was the Head of Strength and Conditioning at Newcastle United Football Club in the Barclays English Premier League.
