All-Star Five – Week 1
It’s our first line-up of the brand new 2016-17 BBL season and opening weekend saw a number of rookies announce their arrival in style.

Jack Isenbarger (Leeds Force)
It was quite a debut for the Force guard as he posted the best performance of the entire weekend. His his 28 points carried Force to a huge derby win against Sharks as Isenbarger shot the lights out with eight triples in a 10 of 13 floor shooting effort. He also finished with five rebounds and two steals, for a performance efficiency valuation of 32.

Brandon Clark (Leicester Riders)
Our second newbie secured his slot after taking the defending champions to a 2-0 start with a home win against Worcester Wolves. Clark shot a brilliant 70% from the field and racked up an eye-catching 20 points, as well as dishing out a super seven assists to show he could be a player to watch this year.


Jermel Kennedy (Worcester Wolves)
In was a memorable night for Kennedy as Wolves came from behind to register an exhilarating overtime success on opening night against Cheshire Phoenix. Kennedy was central to victory with a dazzling 10 of 13 in the paint as he corralled a 23-point haul. He was also just one rebound shy of a double-double.

Leslee Smith (Bristol Flyers)
Our last debutante provided the main thrust behind Flyers managing yet another home derby success against south-west rivals, Plymouth Raiders. The forward amassed a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds, with his all-action display also including four assists, three steals and three blocked shots.

Scott Martin (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle)
The only familiar face in this week’s fabulous five is the popular Eagles’ forward who helped his team get off to a positive start with a road win at Cheshire Phoenix. He showcased his shooting range with a scintillating seven triples as he netted 28 points. He also pulled down six boards for good measure.
