Esh Group Eagles Newcastle 78 (26,39,57) (S Thomson/Martin 14, Defoe 13)
Leeds Force 52 (12,20,38) (Waller 18, Marsden 12, Wells/Sayers/Anebo 5)

Esh Group Eagles Newcastle made it eight straight wins in the BBL Championship after beating Leeds Force 78-52, on Sunday.
The Eagles raced into a 12-0 lead and that set the tone for another convincing victory – their second over Leeds this season.
Newcastle were not at their best offensively with their lowest scoring output of the season, but they made up for it on the defensive end – giving up less than 60 points in a game for the first time this campaign.
After falling to a 14-point deficit at the end of the first, Leeds battled to keep in touch over the next two periods but the damage had been done with Newcastle able to wrap up the victory in the final quarter.
Stuart Thomson didn’t miss a shot from inside the arc – going 5-of-5 on his way to 14 points from the bench, while Scott Martin also put up 14 in the win.
Kwan Waller had a game-high 18 for Leeds, but they come away from a tough double-header on the road empty-handed and fall to 2-6 in the league.
