Recap
The Eagles had their first away game of the season this week and it was the furthest that they travel this season to West Brom.
Last year the Eagles played three very close encounters against this team and were expecting a tough challenge. However the WBA team had significantly changed and only had 6 players at their disposal and the Eagles took full advantage by starting the game with a 17-0 run. West Brom fought back in the first quarter and hit some good outside shots but the Eagles were too strong offensively and were leading 30-9 after the first.
The second quarter was a bit more of a scrappy affair with the Eagles failing to convert easy lay ups and their intensity dropping slightly but they picked up by the end of the half and went in leading 45-17.
In the second half the Eagles defence was in full effect limiting West Brom to 7 points and converting their steals into easy baskets to win the game 94-24.
West Brom to their credit never gave up but the Eagles team on this occasion was just too strong. They look to take this momentum into the first big test of the season against Manchester at home next week.
