After a couple of weeks off, the Eagles would play their last game of the season at home against Manchester Magic.
The first quarter was tight, the game went back and forth with both teams getting defensive stops, however getting the ball in the basket was the struggle for the Eagles, luckily Manchester wouldn’t take advantage. Great off ball movement kept the Eagles alive and they went down 19-17 after one.
The second quarter was heavily dominated by the Eagles however it was their inconsistencies on the defensive end that would let them down. Ball movement, and great spacing was a force against the Magic defence. The Eagles took a 3 point lead mid way through before Magic could respond. The Eagles would hold their lead before the Magic themselves took advantage in the last moments of the quarter to finish 34-35.
The third would be the biggest quarter for Manchester as they immediately took a 6-0 run after some poor passing from the home side. The Eagles would respond however it wouldn’t be good enough as the Magic went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead. This quarter was dominated by the high intensity of Manchester as they would take a 58-42 lead into the fourth.
After three quarters the Eagles were determined not to give up and they would go on to win the quarter by 4. Manchester would only score twice in 5 minutes as the Eagles consistently got stops and would reward themselves with easy transition scores however it wouldn’t be enough.
