Newcastle Eagles have set up a European North Basketball League (ENBL) rematch with Dziki Warszawa after the draw was made for next month’s Glasora Final Four.
The action switches to Slovakia in the second week of April with another major piece of silverware up for grabs.
And Marc Steutel’s men are set to face Dziki from 8:30pm (CEST) / 7:30pm (BST) on April 8 at the 3,200-capacity Gopass Arena.
The second semi takes place earlier in the day when hometown favourites Inter Bratislava lock horns with CSO Voluntari from Romania.
Newcastle defeated Dziki 79-70 on their way to topping Group A with a 7-1 record — a team that featured ex-Eagle and current Sheffield Shark Rickey McGill.
And Steutel’s men will be confident of repeating the trick against the Poles and advancing to the final on April 9. A bronze medal clash will decide third and fourth place with fans guaranteed four games in two days.
The Gopass Arena is located close to two airports with the Austrian city of Vienna’s major international hub located just 55 kilometres from the Slovakian capital.
Bratislava airport (BTS) is served by Ryanair and connects Slovakian capital with five destinations in the United Kingdom.
Eagles supporters intending to travel to the ENBL Final Four will be able to purchase tickets for in a section for Newcastle fans with details to be announced this weekend.
