The 2022 festive All-Star Five from the BBL sees Newcastle Eagles’ David Cohn receive his third pick this season after an impressive performance at Surrey Scorchers.

Sunday’s result was a big road win for our Eagles as they fought to their first victory since October.

Cohn proved himself as the do-it-all point guard with 21-points and seven assists with four rebounds.

The American-Israeli guard shot 7-8 (87%) from the field and a perfect 5-5 at the free-throw line.

Taking the reins of the game down the stretch Cohn put up 10 points and dished four assists in a fourth quarter that Eagles won 32-21 to come from behind take the W into the Christmas break.

Clutch play in the game’s turnaround from Kyle Johnson landed him both Sunday’s game MVP title and a place on the bench in the team of the week.
