The WBBL returned after the international break with a Super Saturday of four games and the latest All-Star Five sees a pair of Eagles pick up starting spots as they grabbed a back-to-back win.

First up it was Maggie Justinak who impressed as our Eagles soared into the play-off places with a second win on the bounce.

Justinak makes it two weeks in a row in the All-Star Five following another stand-out performance as our Eagles beat Manchester Met Mystics on the road.

The guard was a perfect 3-3 from three-point range on her way to 21 points, shooting 8-11 (72%) overall, with five rebounds, three assists and two steals, with a quick-fire eight points in under a minute and a half in the first quarter as our Eagles took an early lead that they did not relinquish.

Joining her fellow American teammate is Antoinette Lewis, who has been a top performer since joining the club.

Lewis is the league’s fifth leading scorer and third best rebounder and makes the All-Star Five for the first time after the road-win in Manchester.

Scoring 19 points on 9-13 (69%) interior shooting, ‘Nette’ Lewis is an increasingly appropriate nickname.

Along with two assists and two steals, the 6’1” centre owned the court grabbing nine rebounds to cement her position as leader in the league’s offensive rebounds standings. Her six boards in this game led directly to eight second-chance points, as she scored 17 first half points as Eagles built a double-figure lead by the halfway point.

Congratulations Maggie and Nette.
