Esh Group Eagles Newcastle are bidding to reach their third successive appearance in the Final, but will firstly have to see off Glasgow Rocks when they travel across the border for a quarter-final clash at the Emirates Arena on Sunday.

The winner of that match-up will face either the in-form One Health Sharks Sheffield who won back-to-back BBL Cup titles in 2010 and 2011, or Durham Wildcats who have never appeared in a major BBL Final. Both teams will play their quarter-final on Friday 22 November.

Current holders Leicester Riders will face Plymouth University Raiders in the last four of the BBL Cup after the draw for the semi-finals was concluded.

Riders booked their place with an impressive 74-62 quarter-final success against Worcester Wolves and will face a Raiders team who breezed into the semis by rolling over Surrey United 91-57 over the weekend

Led by MVP Jay Couisnard, Leicester made history last season when they won the BBL Cup for the first time and will have to get past the Raiders who made the Final in 2012.

Raiders will host the first leg on Friday 29 November, with the return leg to be played on Saturday 7 December.

All the teams still left in the competition are fighting it out to make it to the home of the BBL Cup – namely Birmingham, as they seek to clinch the first piece of BBL silverware this season.

For the twelfth time in a row, the Final will be contested at the National Indoor Arena in front of another huge crowd, with some 7,500 fans packing into the venue last season.

To add to the excitement, the UK Slam Dunk Contest trophy will be on the line as the top slam dunkers from all over Europe battle it out to be crowned BBL Slam Dunk Champion. There will also be a chance to see the All-Star Dunkers Acrobatic Team, Foxy the dunking mascot and the ‘BBL Babes Cheerleaders’
