Newcastle Eagles suffered yet another injury setback at the weekend as Trey Moore saw his season end early after breaking a bone in his foot.

Moore, who has been a regular in the BBL’s Team of the Week this season, broke a metatarsal bone in his right foot and sat out the last 15 minutes of the Eagles’ match away at Guildford last Sunday.

Fab Flournoy said: “It is hugely disappointing for Trey and for us as a team. We have had such a bad run of luck this season and to lose Trey at this stage of the season is a big blow. But with the schedule being as it is we have no choice but to pick ourselves up and get on with it.”

The Eagles play Milton Keynes tomorrow night at Milton Keynes.
