Andre Smith was the star performer as BBL Team of the Week 13 was announced.

The Everton Tigers forward poured in 34 points in the 120-102 victory against Worcester Wolves last Wednesday as the Merseyside club moved to the top of the BBL Championship table for the first time in their history.

Team of the Week regular Smith also pulled down nine rebounds and dished out five assists. He continued his fine form two nights later with 17 points and 11 boards in the 89-80 victory against Sheffield Sharks as Tigers maintained their fine start to the season.

Smith’s Everton team-mate Marcus Bailey joins him in the Team of the Week in one of the guard spots following the Wolves game after a 23-point, four rebound performance for the Tigers.

Despite that loss against Everton, two Sharks players qualified for the Team of the Week with Chris Sanders and Matt Gorman each scoring 26 points for Sheffield. Gorman, who fills the centre spot on the team, finished with 12 rebounds, and forward Sanders ten – with the latter also collecting three steals.

Newcastle Eagles’ Trey Moore completes the line-up in the second guard spot after his team defeated title rivals Airwaves Plymouth Raiders 83-77. Moore finished with a game-high 33 points, including three baskets from downtown as Eagles wrapped up the season series against the Raiders.
