Congratulations to our rising Academy star Theo Riley who has received the Week 19 EABL Player of the Week award.
The guard picked up a double-double with 31 points and 11 rebounds, as well as 5 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks in our EABL team’s road win at SGS College last week.
EABL team head coach Ian Macleod, who is also assistant coach to our BBL team, said “Theo has shown what he is capable of in all phases of the game. Not only scoring, he contributed to our rebounding, had five assists and 5 steals, as well as 2 blocks.
“This has been an important season for us, our first in the EABL and it is vital that our players are exposed to basketball at this level, for their own development. Theo has learned a lot this season, stepping up from the ABL and he has embraced the challenge, as well as becoming a leader in the team.”
Our EABL team have three wins to their name now in their inaugural season which is almost coming to its end. The final home game for this campaign is tomorrow, Wednesday 6 March, with a 4:30pm tip-off at our Eagles Community Arena – all spectators are welcome and entry is free.
