The first quarter ended 30-19.
The second quarter saw almost complete change in intensity as the Eagles fought back and outscored the home team and opened up the quarter going on a 6-0 run, holding Myerscough to score only 3 minutes into the quarter. This charge was led by Riley and Evbuomwan whose contribution proved to be the spark behind the offense in the first half. First half ended 56 – 44
The first half scoring was dominated by Riley for the Eagles, It was his biggest game this season as he found his range and capitalised on any mismatches or mistakes in defensive rotations for Myerscough. Myerscough came out of the locker room looking to put the game away in the 3rd quarter but the eagles stayed close matching them score for score.
The fourth saw Myerscough go to their bench and capitalise on the fact that the eagles were tired and held the visiting team match them score for score to end the game 99-82.
U18s Head Coach, Calvin George said: ” I am disappointed at the result, especially since the team fought very hard to come back after what was a tough 1st quarter, but small errors and defensive rotations is what let us down, we stayed close in all quarters except the first and never really recovered from it. On a positive note, players have really stepped up from the start of the season”
