Recap
After last weeks defeat to Leicester, the Eagles were back on the road to face Cheshire for the final time this season.
It was a good start for the Eagles in the opening minutes as they took an early 5-0 lead before the home side responded. The home side would take advantage of some defensive errors throughout the quarter and wouldn’t find it hard to take advantage as they took the first quarter 14-12.
The second quarter is where the away side dominated, however the home side would take a 4 point lead before they did so. The Eagles would go on a 22-2 run from the third minute and would last through to the last of the quarter. Outstanding defence and recognition of no help and poor rotations helped the Eagles to jump in the lead 37-22 at the half.
The third quarter was another tight one and Cheshire began to press and would take advantage of some easy points. The Eagles found themselves in foul trouble early, however the home side would struggle to score from the free throw line. Good off ball movement is where the Eagles would score most of their points leading 55-38 into the last quarter.
The last quarter the Eagles won by 3, it was the home side that would be in foul trouble early and the Eagles would take advantage. The quarter began with a 8-0 run before Cheshire would once again press. The game finished 69-49.
The Eagles are back at home next Saturday for the second last time of the regular season against Birmingham at 12pm.
