The Eagles were without Fab Flournoy who was forced to sit out due to injury but the Eagles started the stronger of the two sides with Darius Defoe leading the scoring with 12 for the Newcastle Eagles as the teams ended the first quarter 24 – 22.
The start of the second quarter was tight with just two points between the teams for several minutes but then the Eagles started to stretch out the lead and went into half time with a five point advantage with the scores at 48-43.
Eagles continued to put daylight between themselves and the Wolves and ended the third quarter firmly in the driving seat with the scores 79-55 to the home side.
There was no way back for the Wolves in the fourth quarter and the Eagles secured their place in the BBL Cup semi-finals with a convincing 105-76 win.
Trey Moore led the scoring with 26 points closely followed by Joe Chapman and Darius Defoe who both hit 23.
