This afternoon the league confirmed that our Eagles will play Leicester Riders in the 2023 Betty Cadona WBBL Trophy Semi-Final on Saturday 18 March.

A nail-biting one point victory against Essex Rebels in the Quarter-Final nine days ago saw our women take their place in the penultimate stage of this year’s prestigious silverware competition.

Riders current sit joint-top in the WBBL Championship, but after last year’s Cinderella story upset to make the Cup Final against the odds all bets are off and our Eagles could see themselves in a second league final in as many seasons.

In other WBBL fixtures news the final outstanding home game tie has been locked-in so the big North East derby between our Eagles and Durham Palatinates has been confirmed for Sunday 2 April with a 4pm or 5pm tip-off time currently TBC.

The Sevenoaks Suns league fixture previously scheduled for Saturday 18 March at the Vertu Motors Arena will now take place on Sunday 23 April tipping off at 5pm.
