Newcastle Eagles basketball club and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will today launch a new ‘Hoops for Health’ partnership with local schoolchildren in Cramlington.

This is the first time Newcastle Eagles has worked with a major NHS hospital trust in the region. 

 As well as promoting health messages about the importance of exercise, healthy eating and the dangers of smoking, as part of the programme children will also help develop artwork for the new short-stay paediatric facility at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital due to open in Cramlington in 2015.
