Introducing Our 2020-21 BBL and WBBL Season Kit

Celebrating 25 years of Newcastle Basketball, 25 trophies won and our 25th Eagles team, we are proud to introduce our 2020-21 BBL and WBBL season kit.

In 1995 top-flight British Basketball made Newcastle its home as the ‘Comets’, taking to the court in an iconic pinstripe uniform. We proudly celebrate the history of our basketball franchise by featuring these same pinstripes on our new kit.

The club became the ‘Newcastle Eagles’ one season later and then in 2005 won its first silverware, the BBL Trophy. Our new kit is inspired by the strip worn by this team, which tipped-off over two decades of title wins that has made us the most successful British basketball franchise of all-time.

In 24-years as ‘Eagles’ we have now lifted 25 titles, up to and including the 2020 BBL Trophy.

As well as our new main sponsor GiveToLocal for the 2020-21 season, this kit carries our new Eagles 25 Emblem to celebrate our legacy, all those wins and will be worn by our 25th team of ‘Newcastle Eagles’.
