Everyone at the Eagles and Vertu Motors Arena is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Malcolm Dix today, aged 79.

Malcolm had been a trustee of the Eagles Community Foundation since 2006, playing a huge part in its development which will remain an immeasurable legacy for his commitment and contribution.

Beyond the foundation in his role as president of Sport Newcastle, Malcolm’s dedication to the future of our city’s sporting talent supported many young Eagles players with grants over more than 20-years.

The thoughts of the club, foundation and all at the arena are with Malcolm’s family and friends at this sad time.
