Newcastle Eagles can confirm that the Eagles Community Arena is set to host a pilot basketball game in a return to live sport with social distancing on Friday 18 September 2020.

Following much work behind the scenes over recent weeks, the Government Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport announced the test event this afternoon.

The game will be the UK’s first basketball tip-off with spectators since the sport was put on hold due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown in March.
