Newcastle Eagles will fly into a record-breaking 33rd major title final with accountancy firm Blu Sky beneath their wings – and on their chests.

This season, the North Shields-headquartered B Corp has secured a prominent position on the front of the Eagles’ men’s team kit.

Following a period of significant growth, Blu Sky is aiming for sustained success – mirroring the achievements of the Eagles – as the team prepares to defend the Super League Basketball (SLB) Trophy next month.

“Our partnership with the Eagles has gone from strength to strength since we first got involved in 2023, so when we were approached with the opportunity to be on the kit, it was a natural evolution for us”, said Jon Dudgeon, Blu Sky Founder and Director.

“We are passionate about being a part of the club, our staff and clients alike absolutely love it, and we’re proud to help inspire the next generation of fans.

“We’ve had an incredible year at Blu Sky, increasing our revenue by 20 percent, and as our business has grown, so has our commitment to supporting the Eagles and we couldn’t be more proud to be involved in this record season.”

Blu Sky supports ambitious businesses across the UK with tailored services including accounting, tax planning, business advisory, bookkeeping, investment readiness and financial insights.

The firm recently strengthened its senior leadership team and recruited eight new members as it targets £3m turnover by 2027.

In tandem with Blu Sky’s success over the last 12-months, the Eagles celebrated winning last year’s SLB Trophy, becoming rummers-up in the SLB Play-Offs and made history by becoming the first British men’s team to reach a major European final.

Paul Blake, Managing Director at Newcastle Eagles, said: “We’re hugely grateful to Jon, Steve and the Blu Sky team for their incredible support to both our men’s and women’s teams over the past two years.

“We’ve been delighted to see their business grow while welcoming their staff and clients to the Vertu Arena each week to get behind the team.

“This season’s increased investment from Blu Sky has been a big boost and we truly appreciate their continued backing.”

Newcastle Eagles take on the London Lions in the 2026 SLB Trophy Final on Sunday 1 February at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena. Fans can also see the Eagles in another encounter against the capital’s side just over a week earlier, next Friday 23 January, in the SLB Cup Quarter-Final at the Vertu Arena in Newcastle.
