Newcastle Eagles will tip-off their third consecutive European North Basketball League (ENBL) season at home on Tuesday 21 October against Dziki Warsawa from Poland.
The 2025/26 ENBL competition will be its biggest ever and sees 27 teams in action spanning 17 countries and four time zones.
ENBL’s new format this season sees teams divided into three pools of nine that will play in a round-robin tournament of eight games each.
The top 16 teams from the league will then take part in single elimination round to decide who advances to the best-of-two series quarter-finals playing for a place in the ENBL Final Four.
Newcastle beat Dziki Warsawa twice last season, first away in the Polish capital and then in the Semi-Final.
Spartak Pleven visited the Vertu Arena in October last year, but this time will welcome the Eagles and travelling fans for a pre-Christmas tip-off in Bulgaria.
Coach Steutel’s side will make their first ENBL away trips to Greece and Kosovo this season as well as facing new opposition in Latvia with Riga Zelli.
The Eagles head to Greek club Iraklis of Thessaloniki on Wednesday 5 November and Zelli in the Latvian capital on Wednesday 21 January.
One team scheduled to fly into Newcastle on Wednesday 3 December are yet to be announced, while home games against Czechia’s BK Olomoucko and KK Dubrava from Croatia have been set for Tuesdays January 6 and 27 respectively.
